Demonstrative Adjectives

Demonstrative adjectives (such as "this" or "these") are used to point out certain objects or people. Demonstrative adjectives always come before a noun.

Singular Demonstrative Adjectives

Rule 1: In the singular form, the adjective ce is used with masculine nouns and cette with feminine nouns.

Rule 2: Ces is used for plural nouns, regardless of gender.

Rule 3: If a masculine singular noun starts with a vowel or a silent "h", we must use cet instead of ce.
